Urban Farm Hotel exemplifies eco-tourism through the synthesis of I-SAN culture and modern design. Situated in northeastern Thailand, the hotel integrates traditional Thai architectural principles with contemporary innovations. The meticulous fusion of straight points from Thai house architecture with cutting-edge elements results in transformative spatial experiences.

Research highlights the correlation between I-SAN's cultural wisdom and modern lifestyle preferences, emphasizing the enduring relevance of traditional Thai spaces. The hotel serves as a cultural preservation and environmental consciousness hub, offering guests a unique blend of sustainable luxury and immersive experiences rooted in the rich heritage of the region.

I-SAN culture, shares a profound connection with its neighboring country, Laos. This cultural affinity is evident in various aspects, including cuisine, attire, temple architecture, festivals, and the arts.

The cultural pillars of I-SAN—food, music, and traditional festivals—are central to its identity. Notably, architectural design in the region has embraced ECO design principles. The design approach prioritizes passive design strategies, drawing inspiration from E-SAN's local houses and communal spaces. These strategies are seamlessly applied to modern contexts, leveraging passive design to naturally cool the hotel spaces amid Thailand's high temperatures.

The hotel spaces draw inspiration from the traditional E-SAN Thai style, seamlessly blending Thai spatial elements with customary city activities. The architectural functions and spaces are thoughtfully crafted to inspire users to embrace traditional living and deepen their understanding of Thai culture through immersive architectural experiences.

Given the predominant occupation of I-SAN's populace as farmers, the traditional way of life is inherently intertwined with agriculture and nature. Accordingly, the design of the building prioritizes spaces conducive to agricultural activities, fostering a harmonious connection with the region's agrarian heritage.
